Project 4 - "ONLINE JOB PORTAL MANAGEMENT"

INTRODUCTION:

We are providing a website for “ONLINE JOB PORTAL MANAGEMENT” which deals with creating vacancies, storing candidate’s data, Interview process initiation, Scheduling Interviews, Storing Interview results for the candidate and finally Hiring of the candidate.

This website is aimed at developing a web-based and central online job portal. Some features of this website will be creating vacancies, storing candidate’s data, Interview process initiation, Scheduling Interviews, Storing Interview results for the candidate and finally Hiring of the candidate. Reports may be required to be generated. This website automates the manual recruitment process.

Users need to register with application and obtain unique username and password for accessing available features. Users can submit their resumes through their account or they can fill complete profile details for their relevant job. For best performance of the website, Database is made in MS SQL. This website has Anonymous Candidate, Job Seeker, Recruiter, Resume Uploading Functionality, Job Search Facility, Job Seeker and Recruiter Profile control, about us page, feedback forum, placement registration, recruiter login, etc.

FEATURES:

The system consists of following Main modules are:-

1. Admin Console
2. Consultant Console
3. Job Seeker Console

The system Highlight flow:-

• The concept of Placement Management is to develop website which manages Placement activities, where it can manage details of all Job Seekers.
• This is an application which connects consultants & job seekers where consultants are the sources of the resources and the job seekers can find and apply for their targeted jobs. Consultants have to register the Company Details, Job Specification, etc. and the Job seeker should register themselves, the Qualification, Specialization, Experience details, etc. The job seeker must upload the resume to the system after registration.
• The job seeker can filter the list of available jobs based on various criteria. Some of them are Location Based, Company Name Based, Area of Interest Based, etc.
• Although such a website has very wide scope, this website contains the most important part i.e. displaying the personal and academic information of a job seeker and consultancy.
• The job seekers and consultants are also provided with the facility of editing some fields like personal details, passwords, etc.
• The website also allows the Administrator to enter the information of a job seeker and consultant which is then stored in corresponding tables in the main database.
• Post jobs to portal‘s database.
• Registered consultants can add or remove jobs and these jobs can be seen by various job seekers and they can contact the consultant person for the job. Main aim is to make a good web application that can make this job search option easy and accessible to everyone who is interested.
